Central African Republic, 1987

The Landis & Gyr optical card system was used from 1987 to 1993, and later replaced by chip technology. The cards issued in that period were 6, always in pairs of two values, 60 and 120 units. The first two were without notch, with code 706D (60 units, 5,000 printed) and 706E (120 units, 3,600 printed); the subsequent reprints of 1989 and 1990 were the same as design, but they were notched.
